Geometry – Images

Background images are supported by the geometry interaction to allow for context-rich exercises like line-of-sight or contour line exercises.
These images need to be uploaded first as an asset in the Assets tab, after which they will appear in the Background Image selector of the geometry interaction editor.

Images used with the geometry interaction should have a width of at least 800 pixels, e.g. minimal requirements for common image dimensions include 800×450 (16:9), 800×600 (4:3) and 800×800 (1:1) pixels.
Higher resolutions are recommended to future-proof the exercises. The aspect ratio of the canvas for the student is adapted to the dimensions of the image.

Note that images are purely used for background rendering. Mathematical constructions that are included in the image are not automatically recognised by AlgebraKiT.
